Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — Indonesia’s motorcycle market remains promising, supported by still-positive economic growth and a large population. The Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI) reported motorcycle sales of 6.23 million units in 2023, in line with rising population and mobility across cities.
AISI reported that motorcycle sales in March 2024 rose 4% from February to 583,747 units. Gaikindo also reported domestic wholesale car sales of 74,724 units in March 2024, up about 5.7% from 70,698 units the month before. This coincides with the growth of two- and four-wheel online transport for passengers, goods, and food delivery.
The conditions benefit not only brand principals but also supporting industries such as vehicle components, including PT Cipta Perdana Lancar.
The company was established in 2009. It initially focused on automotive spare parts manufacturing, then expanded into electronic and sanitary parts.
In running the business, CPL emphasises product quality, the right pricing, and adherence to delivery schedules. The company has held ISO 9001:2015 certification since 2011.
CPL has also received awards from credible institutions, including recognition from Panasonic, a cooperation award from TOTO, and an award from the Ministry of Industry.
The company’s outlook is considered bright as the automotive industry recovered, with 21.73% growth from 2021 to 2023. “We also remain active in events held by Yayasan Dharma Bhakti Astra (YDBA), the Association of Small and Medium Automotive Component Industries (PIKKO), and the Ministry of Industry,” said President Director Hamim in Jakarta on Monday, 29 April 2024.
Hamim also said CPL will build a new building on remaining land of about 8,000 square metres and open new markets for four-wheel parts, for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
CPL’s competitive strengths include competitive selling prices with high standards and advanced production assets that support quality output. The company also has a strong network of customers and suppliers, and applies quality, check, and delivery principles to ensure customer satisfaction.
With more than 15 years of experience, CPL has come through various business cycles, including the Covid-19 crisis. As a manufacturing company, PART is naturally asset-based, so it has value from its assets as well as from the business — unlike services that are easier to replicate.
